The Pakistan Readymade Garments Technical Training Institute (PRGTTI) was founded in 2001 with the primary aim of supplying skilled labor (both male and female) to Pakistan’s readymade garment industry. This institution is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Textile Industry of the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA). PRGTTI is well-equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for various trades, and its faculty comprises highly qualified and experienced professionals. To date, PRGTTI has successfully trained and placed nearly 15,000 skilled individuals in the sector.
PRGTTI offers a diverse range of courses encompassing sewing operations, merchandising, quality control, production management, compliance, pattern making, and import-export procedures. The institute has a rich history of collaboration with both national and international organizations such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), SGS, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), and others. These collaborations have primarily focused on skill development, the development of competency standards, and industry research.
